Designer
Born Wagga Wagga, Australia. Marg Horwell is a Melbourne-based freelance theatre designer, installation artist and photographer. Marg has received three Greenroom Awards and two Fringe Awards for outstanding design.
Marg is currently the Designer in Residence for the Lawler Studio at MTC, this includes set and costume designs for: Dream Life of Butterflies, The Water Carriers and Circle Mirror Transformation. Other recent projects include: Save for Crying by Angus Cerini (La Mama Theatre), Do Not Go Gentle by Patricia Cornelius, directed by Julian Meyrick (fortyfive downstairs), Bare Witness directed by Nadja Kostich (La Mama Theatre, fortyfive downstairs), Wretch by Angus Cerini (La Mama Theatre and tour with Regional Arts Victoria 2010), Chapters From the Pandemic by Angus Cerini (Angus Cerini Doubletap and fortyfive downstairs), and Life Is A Dream directed by Daniel Schlusser (VCA and Storeroom). Marg is an ongoing collaborator of Hubcap Productions and director Donna Jackson and has worked as the designer for We Built This City and the set and costume designer for Dust.
